Holkham Beach, Norfolk
A lot of Norfolk is as flat as it gets, and this beach extending from Holkham to Wells-Next-The-Sea, eases the land gently into the Wash. A vast expanse of sand under big skies. Holidaymakers with kids, dog walkers and horse riders ply their way across it, tiny in scale, going who knows where.
