Suilven: shifting moods
Although my photographs are usually captured "on the go", occasionally the tripod comes out. This series was captured one evening following a day of rain. After walking into the mountains west of Elphin I sat for a hour or so, watching this spectacle. The cloud started to blow clear, just as the sun was sinking low. It's amazing what light you can still find at 10pm in the north of Scotland in July. Pity about the midges!
