Evenings
Long shadows, golden light and the quietness at the end of a day, all conspire to provide experiences that need to be captured. Serene, cloudless stillness after an energetic afternoon walk up Haystacks above Buttermere. Clouds caught in thermals above Skiddaw in a windless sky, after a day walking in the Central Fells. Rabbit footprints found in the snow after a winter walk on Frogatt Edge in Derbyshire. Still, misty fields atthe end of the day by Kimmeridge in Dorset. Pastures seen from above, at the Roaches in the Staffordshire moorlands after a satisfying days walk. And most memorable, the sublime view of Cardigan Bay, Snowdonia and the LLyn Peninsula seen from my tent, pitched in the hills above Harlech.
