Eastern Fells
In their February garb of russets and browns, with a dusting of snow, the fells ripple out in all directions, startling in low sunlight. Craggy heights of the Helvellyn range frown down on green pasture on the valley floor, but cannot deny them their picturesque charm, especially when October frosts turn green to gold. While March snows create stark contrasts that stretch the eye to far horizons.
